Summer Supper is back for year two! The evening will feature more than 25 chefs, bakers, winemakers, and beverage makers, each crafting inspired small plates and sips using gleaned and upcycled ingredients—transforming what’s often discarded into something extraordinary.

Join us on Sunday, September 14th 5-8pm for a one-of-a-kind culinary event benefitting our mission to reduce food waste and food insecurity in Portland!

Our Process

Gleaning is Different

We do accept donations at our warehouse, but the bulk of our food comes from our growing roster of donor restaurants, grocery stores, corporate campuses and more. And we cook, too! Watch our videos to learn more about our programs.

Gleaning reduces waste and hunger simultaneously.

40% of our food ends up in the landfill while 1 in 4 children in Oregon do not have sufficient access to healthy food. Collecting and redistributing food is one of the most effective ways to combat both hunger and climate change. Find out how we’re making a lasting impact.
